Well well well, now THAT was quite an event! The Alter Egos Society had a blast at the 7th annual Stumptown Comics Fest this past weekend. When we found out that we’d be sharing a table with our friends Atomic Arts (producers of “Trek In The Park”),we knew it would be a good time.
During the Fest, we had a few different AES volunteers staffing the booth and—whether hero or villain—being friendly with people who stopped by. In addition to the previously mentioned Membership Signup, we were also selling DVDs of ARCHIVES OF THE FANTASTIC, tshirts, and patches, all things which we hope to have for sale on the website soon!
We also had a screen set up for people to view the newest AES promotional video and the remixed ARCHIVES trailer (and headphones so they could listen without annoying our neighboring booths), which seemed to draw a lot of people in. Children especially seemed interested in the whole masks-and-capes thing, many of them being familiar with the likes of Batman and Superman (as well they should be!). Our representatives did a great job interacting with children both big and small, and getting the super word out.
For more pictures from the Stumptown Comics Fest 2010, check out our AES-centric AES at Stumptown Comics Fest 2010 Flickr gallery, or the Stumptown Comics Fest 2010 Flickr group pool for photos that may or may not feature awesome superheroes or supervillains. And hopefully we’ll see you again next year, Stumptown comics fans!
