In the weeks since we originally posted info about our upcoming Hero/Villain Ceasefire, we’ve sold a few tickets, gotten a few new sponsors, and confirmed one or two new wonderful (surprise!) guests. Things are looking good for our 5th annual Ceasefire!

Speaking of sponsors: we have prizes! Oh, the prizes we have! Check out the picture below… a neon sign, all sorts of games, drinking vessels, graphic novels, and gift certificates galore! Our sponsors continue to amaze us; thank you so much to the businesses who have lent our event their support.

Prizes will be given out to costume contest winners and through raffle drawings. Remember: you can buy your event ticket online to get free raffle tickets! They’ll also be available for purchase at the Ceasefire for $1/ticket or $5/6 tickets. All proceeds from door and raffle ticket sales will be going to p:ear.

It’s not too late to buy tickets; we’ll be selling them online until the day before the event, and limited quantities will be available at the door. Ella St. Social Club is a smaller venue than we’ve partied at before, so buying your ticket now ensures you’ll get to rub elbows with Portland’s superhero (and villain) elite!

And, egads, the Ceasefire is nigh! November 12 is just barely over a week away. The intrepid heroes and villains among you were surely prepared before Halloween, but if not hopefully the festively costumed holiday got you thinking about your super gear and persona… We don’t require anything terribly elaborate, just as long as the character is of your own design. It’s all about having fun and exploring hero and villain archetypes, whether that means you’ve been busily stitching spandex or you plan on just tying a towel around your neck. Mutants, aliens, biomechanically-enhanced humans; the Alter Egos Society accepts all super types!

Greetings Heroes and Villains of fair Portlandia!

On behalf of the Alter Egos Society, Drunken Rampage Events, and all of the event organizers, I extend our thanks to all who attended for making this year’s Power Struggle the best yet!
